June 3, 2024: 2nd Annual Meeting of The Ohio IPE Consortium At OSU
The 2nd Annual Meeting of the Ohio Interprofessional Consortium welcomed over 60 people representing over 27 institutions of higher education. The purpose of this meeting was to inform and advance the business of the Ohio Interprofessional Consortium.
The day-long event included:
- A keynote presentation by Andrea Pfeifle, EdD, PT, FNAP, the Associate Vice President for Interprofessional Practice and Education at The Ohio State University and President of the National Academies of Practice. The theme of her presentation was “Why a statewide IPE Consortium? Building our Collaborative Community”.
- An overview and history of the Ohio Interprofessional Consortium, “Past, Present, and Future” by:
- The Consortium President, Kat Tromp, PharmD, Interim Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
- The Consortium Treasurer, Tyler Reimschisel, MD, MHPE, Founding Associate Provost of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research at Case Western Reserve University.
- Networking activities.
- Small and large group discussion sessions.
June 8th, 2023: Inaugural Annual Meeting Of The Ohio IPE Consortium At OSU
The first meeting of the Ohio Interprofessional Consortium welcomed over 45 people representing over 25 institutions of higher education across Ohio! It was a day-long event that included:
- A keynote speaker, Renee Bogschutz, PhD, CCC-SLP, FNAP, Founding Director of Interprofessional Education at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC). She is also the Director of the Texas Interprofessional Education Consortium.
- Networking activities.
- Breakout sessions to discuss current and future issues regarding interprofessional education and practice.
- Large group discussion to discuss expectations and next step of this newly formed Consortium.
